SOL INVICTO: New Remixes Posted Online
February 16, 2009SOL INVICTO, the drum 'n' bass-meets-metal side project of DEFTONES guitarist Stephen Carpenter, Eric Bobo of CYPRESS HILL on percussion and drums, Richie Londres from the C.L.P. (CULTURA LONDRES PROYECTO) on production/guitar and AJ Cookson (U.K.-based producer),has uploaded two new remixes to its MySpace page: "Break" (originally by Saul Williams/Trent Reznor; from Saul's album "Niggytardust") and "Going Steady" (originally by DEATH FROM ABOVE).
SOL INVICTO's debut recording, a four-song EP called "Unidose", is now scheduled to be released mid-March via Altered Beats Music and iTunes.
SOL INVICTO's sound is described as "a mix of DEFTONES-style heavy guitar riffs and soundscape melodies with grimy crushing drum-and-bass beats and basslines, all mixed down in London, England."
